Oromucosal pharmaceutical preparation
The oromucosal solution comprising the well tolerated nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug flurbiprofen in a biologically compatible buffer with a physiological pH range (6.5-8.0) has been developed to prevent and treat oromucosal inflammatory conditions. The solution is also containing the sweetener xylitol, which shows the double advantage to have a mild antibacterial effect and not to be cariogenic. The oral solution is available as oral spray nebulizer (OTC) and mouthwash (for odontoiatric applications).
